Our last weekend.

Tonight is the start of our last weekend together for 7 months.
We are going over to my brother and sister-in-laws house tonight for dinner and their last night with them.
Saturday night, we are having people over for pizza and poker.
Sunday, I have to work for a few hours, then Chris' family and us are going out to dinner at Outback.
Monday, I plan on spending alone time with Chris for just a few hours.
Tuesday...we have to be at the recruiters at 3pm for last minute paperwork. Then have to be at MEPS by 6pm. We are going to take our bathing suits to hopfully get in our last family moment before he leaves on Wednesday.

Wednesday we have to be back in lansing to see him sworn in and then see him off to the plane.

Everytime I think about these next days, I just break down and cry. I know there's a good mix of pregnancy emotions and hormones... but still, I'm sad and happy at the same time.

Damn you Taco Bell!

Everyday that goes by... I find myself thinking about taco bell.
Oh wonderful Taco bell, with your taco flavored meat, shredded lettuce, diced tomatos, and savory sour cream.
Sometimes chicken...sometimes beef...sometimes steak.
Oh Taco Bell, how you never dissapoint. The crunch of your hard shell, the easy bite into your soft shell, and then there is the combo shell, 1 hard, 1 soft... the best of both worlds.
Oh dearest Taco bell... if only you delivered. Instead I have to take advantage of my husband being here for a few more days and have him get you for me and baby. Christopher loves you too, Taco bell.

picked up the ever important insurance papers today...

Today was a 'fun' day. Went on some errands to pick up insurance paperwork, it's nearly feeling official, lol!
Then to Meijer to get random supplies for dinner. I made my first ever from scratch soup!
'Monteray jack cheese soup with chicken'
it was easy... chicken broth, 4 bonless skinless chicken breast-cooked and cubed, milk, green onions, tomatos, green chilis, and a few small randoms things.
It was great! I also got a fresh made italian bread loaf to go along with it. We ate 3 hours ago and I am still full!
The kids have been fun today too... Christopher has been having MAJOR issues going to bed. He just doesnt want to! He tries everything within his power to stay up and get out of his room.
But Julieann is awesome at going to bed, as usual. I feel bad for her cause he's screaming to us as she's trying to fall asleep. It just doesnt work...lol

Chris leaves in 6 days. This is his last Tuesday with us for 26 weeks. It's hitting pretty hard that everything is becoming a reality that I'm going to be on my own in a VERY short time. How can I live without him? Who am I going to fight with? Who am I going to love? Who will sleep with me and keep me warm?
I can do it... I kinda have to.

1st blog: 1 week till Chris leaves & I'm 5 weeks pregnant

For reasons that will soon become obviouse, I am starting a blog.
My husband, Chris leaves for the army in just 1 week.
We found out on the morning of his going away party that I am pregnant.
Baby 'C' is due September 13th, 2010. We're going to call the bean Baby C because that will be it's first initial. We have several names already picked out... and we each have a favorite which happens to be the other's least favorite.
My favorites are Boy- Charlie, Girl- Charlotte.
Chris' favorites are Boy- Carson/Carter, Girl- _______.
We are hoping for a boy, but boy/girl twins would be my #1 pick!

I feel so bad/sorry that our other children, Christopher 3.5 years and Julieann 2 years have NO idea what is ahead for our family in the next year. Here is a quick preview of everything we're expecting to happen.

I'm very thankful that we have the chance to live with my parents, my sister and brother-in-law have offered to take the kids 1 weekend a month, and that all our other family lives so close. I want to continue to work at KOHLs parttime at least until we leave for out month long road trip so that we have gas money, food money, fun money, etc.. and I want to use the discount to buy some things for the house. If not, mom gets 15% off coupons in the mail all the time and that's the same as the employee discount.

That's about it for now. I'm going to start taking my bi-weekly pregnancy belly pictures next week.
